Shinwari Baithak is built for groups and meat lovers. Its strengths are the Shinwari lamb dishes, with lamb tikka at Rs 3,499 per kg and lamb karahi at Rs 3,500 for a full, plus the large mixed platters. Platter 3 serves 9 to 10 people for Rs 11,500, which works out to roughly Rs 1,150 to Rs 1,280 per person, the best per-head value of the three platters. There are also a few nice savings for bulk orders. A dozen bone-in Chicken Tikka Boti is Rs 1,800, about Rs 360 less than buying 12 single pieces at Rs 180 each.
The bread is a real bargain. Roti is Rs 25 and plain naan Rs 35, cheaper than at any other karahi spot we list in DHA Phase 2, and Afghani naan is only Rs 55. Chicken karahi, on the other hand, is pricier here at Rs 1,400 for a half, so this is the place for lamb rather than chicken. The Special Shinwari Qahwa at Rs 250 for four people is a good way to finish a heavy meal.
